Marmotte is the French word for Marmot, which for those who need a refresher on their Rodentia is a heavy-built burrowing rodent that looks an awful lot like a beaver (without the dam-building abilities, we assume). The Latin origin of the word roughly translates to ‘mountain mouse’, so if you see yourself as somewhat of a mountain mouse, boy do we have the accommodation for you.

If you’re still with us, we’d love to tell you a little more about Apartment Marmotte 2. Situated in an enviable position that allows guests ski-in/ski-out access, and also gives you all the benefits of the Three Valleys ski area.

Inside the apartments, you can expect cosy rooms suitable for groups of eight. Expect more typical Savoyard decor than you could shake a stick at in the three bedrooms. Two of these are doubles and the remaining one is a dorm room with bunk beds for four people.

What makes Apartment Marmotte one of the best places for groups who want to holiday on a budget is the fact you’re close to the ski facilities visitors of Méribel and Courchevel pay for. The Three Valleys ski area is world-renowned, and you can access it for a great price thanks to the Les Menuires resort.

Guests also have access to a ski locker room and a car park, of which one space is included with the rental.
