Well known as the highest ski resort in Europe, Val Thorens offers some of the continent's most snow-sure skiing. It is part of France's Three Valleys - the world's largest ski area with over 600km of slopes.

VT also has a fantastic restaurant scene with five Michelin-starred eateries as well as a host of more family-friendly establishments. For the night owls, the apres scene in VT is second-to-none with the ever popular Folie Douce, Bar 360, Le Malaysia (open til 5am) and Brit's favourite Le Frog & Rosbif!

Most of the accommodation in Val Thorens is hotels and apartments but we have found some chalets for you ... and some absolute crackers at that!
