With a snow-sure altitude of 2050m and some world-class terrain Belle Plagne is, of course, a go-to destination for skiers from around the world but it is also a lovely place to sit, relax and watch the world go by. And staying in Le Chalet du Vallon is ideal for this. Bathed in sunlight and warmth, the south-facing balconies afford stunning views of the La Plagne massif and the skiers schussing past on the slope running by the résidence only add to the entertainment.
The property has just eleven apartments with three, four or five bedrooms. It may be small overall but it is perfectly-formed and each unit is packed full of charm and home comforts – fully-equipped kitchens for culinary creations, plump sofas for all sorts of bottoms, fireplaces for cockle-warming and the relaxation area downstairs for immersing oneself in a cauldron of warm bubbles or sweating out last night’s toxin-intake in a hot, wooden box.
