Not to be confused with my local, The White Horse in Otterbourne, Hampshire, the three-star property known as Cheval Blanc in Val Thorens offers, let’s be honest, relatively basic but very well-priced accommodation in a location that is ski-in/ ski-out and close to many of the Ski Schools’ Meeting Points...a location worthy of five-stars!
On top of its fantastic location, Cheval Blanc also has a ski rental shop within the résidence and “le Chaudron Magique” – a restaurant offering Savoyard dishes as well as the ubiquitous menu of pizzas, steaks and burgers.
The accommodation is “cosy” so if you have a cat that requires regular swinging, you are advised to leave him or her at home. But, of course, you pay for what you get and so if the budget does not stretch to swanky properties with Spas and butler service, then this may be the place for you! Apartments available with one, two or three bedrooms.
