The uber popular and sought-after resort of Tignes is top of many a skiers’ list and it’s not hard to see why! It is relatively inexpensive compared to its closest neighbour; Val D’Isere, but the lift links mean you have access to the vast terrain of both Tignes and Val d’Isere if you get the combined lift pass. The resort is about as snow sure as they come, but which of Tignes’ villages is right for you? Hopefully, this quick guide will point you in the right direction……
Tignes Le Lac
The main hub, and the largest of the villages on offer in Tignes. With quick and easy access to the slopes, think lots of ski-in/ski-out apartments and bars and restaurants aplenty, Tignes Le Lac remains top of the list for many.

Tignes Val Claret
Two kilometres along the mountain rpad from Tignes le Lac sits Val Claret. Another great option for easy access to the slopes, but probably better known for its gastronomic offering. If you are looking for the best of the dining options available or a bustling nightlife scene, this is most likely to be the Tignes village for you!

Residence Le Nevada is just 150 metres from the slopes and houses a spa with indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and fitness area.

Tignes 1800
Recently rebranded and given a facelift, Tignes 1800 is one of the more picturesque offerings and the quietest of the villages, and you get more bang for your buck here when booking accommodation! Although it’s a little further down the mountain, slopes access is still convenient and with just one gondola ride you can still connect to the whole Tignes and Val d’Isere ski area. It is certainly giving it’s trendier, sought-after siblings a run for their money!!
